SUBJECT:      UPDATE ON 2021/2022 SCREENING EXERCISE FOR ADMISSION

 

The University of Nigeria wishes to inform candidates who made UNN their first-choice institution in the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that, owing to compelling logistic reasons, the screening exercise earlier scheduled to commence from Monday, January 17, 2022 will now take place as follows.

 

Day 1: Tuesday, January 25, 2022

Day 2: Wednesday, January 26, 2022

  • Faculty of Physical Sciences
  • Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
  • Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences

The portal is still open to enable eligible candidates who have not registered to do so.

A detailed timetable and venues for the screening exercise will be released shortly.

UNN HISTORY

  The University of Nigeria which is popularly known as UNN is located in Nsukka, Enugu State and was founded by Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe in 1955 but was formally opened on 7 th   October, 1960. The university has three campuses in Nsukka, Enugu and Ituku-Ozalla, all in Enugu State, Nigeria. UNN is reputed to be the first full-fledged indigenous and autonomous university in Nigeria and the first land grant university in Africa. It is also reckoned with as one of the first five elite universities in the country. It is made up of 15 faculties and 102 academic departments; it offers 82 undergraduate programs and 211 postgraduate programs.   ASUU TO HOST NEC MEETING TOMORROW TO DECIDE THE FATE OF STRIKE The National Executive Council, NEC, of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, will host it's gathering on Sunday in Abuja to determine the fate of the four months warning strike which will be ending on Monday 14th. (recall I mean the warning strike). In a dialogue of the National president, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke in a chat with Sunday Vanguard on Saturday, he said that it's the NEC that will determine the next line of action as concerned to the ongoing strike. This he stated while answering question on the next line of action of the union as it's warning strike will soon be over.
